Picosecond Pulsed Laser Deposition of Metals and Metal Oxides

In this work, we present the fabrication of thin films/nanostructures metals and metal oxides using picosecond laser ablation. Two sets experiments were performed: depositions carried out in vacuum air at atmospheric pressure. The subjects investigation noble Au Pt ZnO TiO2. We studied compared phase composition, microstructure, morphology, physicochemical state as-deposited samples’ surfaces air. It was found that ablation performed led to films with embedded differently sized nanoparticles. implementation same process pressure resulted porous nanostructures composed pure production nanoparticles an oxide shell. addition, more defects formed on surface when samples deposited vacuum. Furthermore, a regime theoretically investigated molecular dynamics simulation.
